Our Sister Bar Ellington in the Park Reopens April 23
Our sister bar, Ellington in the Park, reopens for the 2026 season on Thursday, April 23 at 11am. The outdoor bar and restaurant at Riverside Drive and West 105th Street is back on the Hudson, and drink deals are running to mark opening day.
If you know us from The Ellington on Broadway at 2745 Broadway, the park is the other half of what we do. Same ownership, same chef — Chef John Loughran runs both kitchens and the same Upper West Side address. The difference is that Ellington in the Park is entirely outdoors, sits inside Riverside Park, and looks directly out over the Hudson River.
It is one of the few places in the city where you can order a full meal and eat it with an unobstructed view of the water. That is what makes the April reopening worth paying attention to.
Two levels of outdoor space run across the site. The upper bar is built from a repurposed shipping container and sits directly above the river. The lower level opens onto the park, with beach volleyball, soccer, and softball fields a short walk away. The venue is open April through November, so the season is finite, it closes when the weather turns.
The park menu is built for eating outside. From the handhelds, the Park Mac comes with American cheese, dill pickles, and Ellington's special sauce. The Lobster Roll is served on a brioche roll with chips and coleslaw. The Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich is buttermilk chicken with coleslaw and spicy mayo.
On the tacos, the Steak comes with pico de gallo and avocado cream. The Crispy Fish brings mango and cucumber salsa. Pulled Carnitas is slow-cooked pork with cilantro and salsa verde.
The Riverside Margarita is tequila, lime, and agave at $14. The Park Mule is Skyy vodka with Fever Tree ginger beer at $14. Draft beer runs $9 a pint or $36 a pitcher.
Use the stairs or ramp at 103rd Street and Riverside Drive. The venue sits within the Riverside Park Conservancy-managed green space running from 59th to 181st Streets. No reservation is needed, tables are available on both levels on a first-come, first-served basis.
For group bookings and private events from 20 to 500 guests, inquiries go through the party reservations page.
